What does it feel like to be coached
It’s a rare experience in life to have someone who is
profoundly on your side, and able to get you to see who you
really are and how you can get to where you want to be.
Coaching allows you to not feel alone in your journey. I can
truly argue that everyone needs a life coach, I have a life
coach. We all know what we should be doing in our lives,
but for several reasons we do not. In a lot of cases, we do not
know where to start, how to stay resilient, we doubt our
decisions, we’re unsure of the path to take, and so on. I’ve
heard someone say that life coaching feels like having a
guardian angel, and I do not disagree with that.
Can you tell me more about your coaching approach and framework?
First and foremost, you are already seen as a whole and
complete person. I believe the answers you need in life are already within you. My approach is to help you discover those answers and bring them to the forefront. Therefore, we will start with self-awareness, then do a self-audit to determine your values and priorities in life. From there we
will go into what commitments you are willing to make for yourself, which will determine our path forward. I believe growth begins with honesty, accountability, and the
willingness to evolve. Through coaching, I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment where you will feel seen, heard, encouraged, and challenged to move beyond your limitations. My main goal is to guide you to discover who your best self is.
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy is about your past; Life Coaching is about your future. Life coaching is
geared to help assist you with the decisions you have made. Whether it’s you
want to be a better communicator or have stronger connections with other
people, a Life Coach assists you with those goals and gives you the tools and
confidence to achieve them. You are already healed with therapy and now it’s
time to get you to the next level. A life coach is a guide using self-development
tools to help you with your success.
Are you a trained and certified coach? What credentials actually matter, in the world of coaching?
Great question! I’m a Certified Life Coach with the Jay Shetty
Coaching School (JSCS). Jay host one of the top podcast (On
Purpose) on health and wellness, and have wrote two New
York Times bestsellers. JSCS provided the same wisdom, the
same presence, the same energy that made Jay Shetty’s brand
great. The methodologies learned represent the most up-to-
date strategies that facilitate change.
JSCS’s mission is to impact 1 billion lives, and make wisdom
go viral, and it’s a mission that I’m proud to be a part of.
What Does a Session Look like?
Before we have our first session we will have a free discovery call,
what I also like to call a connection call. During this call you will tell
me what has led you to seek out life coaching, what goals you have for
yourself, and why that’s important to you. By the end of the
connection call, we will agree on the process we want to take to get
you there and determine when or if to move forward. From there we
will contract and schedule our first session.
Each session starts off with how you want them to. You may choose to
tell me how your week went, what feelings you had throughout the
week, what you want to work on, or anything that is weighing on you.
There may be days where things went great during your week, and
we will break down what went well, and how to create more of that.
Each session can be different, but each session will be geared towards
getting you to your main goal, your big SMART goal.
